New release of Skype for iPhone and iPad, version 4.5.: Stakes around improvements and resolved issues.




Available officially since February 7, 2013, this new release brings new features and improvements, which henceforth allows:

First on your iPad: Automatic call recovery for dropped calls; instant message conversations appear in the
correct order and Marketing opt-in / out selector within app registration; Improved UI allowing a simple swipe from the left of the screen to see your recent conversations in a sidebar and Improved spacing and minor UI changes for iPad mini screen size.

On your iPhone the stakes brings us henceforth to: Emergency calls now routed through native dialer.

In regarding the supported devices and Operating system, Skype for iPad version 4.5 supports iPad, iPad 2, iPad mini and the latest iPad with Retina Display.

Finally, Skype for iPhone version 4.5 supports iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 5, plus 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation iPod Touch. iOS 5.0 or later is required on all devices.
