Android Studio, the new IDE for Android developers is now available as a preview release.

Fruit of the collaboration between Google and JetBrains, Android Studio is based on the IntelliJ Platform and the existing functionality of IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition. The goal
behind this project is to create the best possible experience for Android developers on top of IntelliJ platform. This means Android programming  more pleasant and dynamic.

‘’ The IntelliJ Community Edition will remain a free and open Java IDE with full Android support and will include the new features developed by both the Google and JetBrains teams.
