Oracle has extended the cloud management capabilities of Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c.

It remains more or less complex to appreciate the timing of this new announcement which follows the recent availability of Oracle Database 12c.
However, Connectikpeople may recall that, Oracle Database 12c is billed as the first database design for the Cloud. It aims to deliver a
multitenant architecture on top of a fast, scalable, reliable and secure database platform.
Henceforth with this new release, Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c  delivers integrated management for Oracle Database 12c.
This means as from now, new features include:
·        Complete lifecycle management of multitenant databases,
·        Consolidated database replay,
·        At-source data masking,
·        Enhanced diagnostics,
·        Real-time business operations monitoring,
·        Performance hub,
·        New Oracle Enterprise Manager Database Express 12c,
·        Snap Clone and more.

‘’with the new database release, Oracle is making it even easier for customers to significantly reduce IT management costs, avoid critical issues and outages and free up resources for other business-critical tasks.” said Sushil Kumar, vice president, Product Strategy and Business Development, Oracle.

Note: Customers running earlier releases of Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c can add the new functionality using the self-update console.
