MTN Cameroon revenue grew to 7, 7% and maintained its market share at around 57%.



Over the first six months of 2013, despite the net debt of R3 968 million reported by the Group, MTN Cameroun has generated the encouraging results conducted by the VOICE, MTN Money and the profit from the tower sales.
Connectikpeople has observed that, the subsidiary grew its subscriber base by 4,3% to 7,6 million compared to 7,3 million at
the end of December 2012. The operation grew revenue by 7,7% and maintained its market share at around 57%.
Data revenue increased with + 44, 4%, helped by promotions and improved coverage. EBITDA has recorded + 4,8% .
MTN Cameroun promised that, the 3G rollout programme will commence once existing exclusivity arrangements expire in December 2014.
According to the company, sustained pressure on tariffs was partially offset by a 103% increase in MOU as the investment in network modernisation accelerated.  Finally, at the end of the six month period, two-thirds of the capex budget had been capitalised.
