Qt applications: Stakes around BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet and upcoming BlackBerry® 10 smartphones.

Since the middle of October 2012, RIM Blackberry is calling Qt ambassadors and Qt superstars to try porting their Qt applications over to the BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet and upcoming BlackBerry® 10 smartphones. The main goal certainly via this operation, is to build a solid ecosystem around the BlackBerry® 10.

Therefore Blackberry asks to developers:

• to be a member of the “Qt on BlackBerry and QNX” group
• Send a proposal of the application(s) you will / are considering porting or have ported
• Send to Blackberry a link to where you will make your code available OR if you do not to make the code public, then please provide evidence that you are developing using Qt

In return, Blackberry announces that, you will be automatically entered into Blackberry weekly draw for a free BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.

In addition RIM Blackberry has Mondays reserved for Qt porting at the BlackBerry Tech Center in Slough, UK if you need some in-person help. You can also learn more via Qt Project Website.
