The final release of Calculate Linux 13 now available: Stakes and Opportunities around Changes and Fixes.


For those unfamiliar, Calculate Linux was initially distributed as a Stage4 archive and installed by the Calculate utility. June 22, 2007 the first version of Calculate Linux, numbered 7.6, was made public.
2011, a repository of binary packages came in version 11.0, containing the basic applications for Calculate Linux Desktop (KDE, GNOME and XFCE) and
Calculate Directory Server.
Henceforth since Released on December 28, 2012, the final release of Calculate Linux 13 is available. Main Changes and Fixes includes: Meta-packages are no longer used to manage default dependencies; Portage files will be unpacked when booting for the first time; Better identification of NTFS partitions; Fixed the user profile configuration for VMware; Composite enabled by default for VMware etc.

In addition it is henceforth able to run Jabber services with StartTLS and SMTP authentication added. KDE was updated to 4.9.4. ; GNOME was updated to 3.4. You can see more here!
