IonMonkey to make Web apps and games perform up to 25 percent faster via Firefox

Since January 08, 2013, Firefox 18 is available for download, but most of you will not see the great visual changes, because, all changes are located in  the background. However we have noted that Firefox’s new JavaScript compiler, IonMonkey,  aims to make the Web apps and games perform up to 25 percent faster.

For elucidate his approach, Firefox presents: BananaBread, a 3D Web game created by the Mozilla Developer Network and powered exclusively by HTML5, WebGL and JavaScript.

In addition Firefox also supports high-resolution Retina Display for Mac users. The goal here is to make your Web experience more or less sharper when watching for example: movies, playing games and browsing.

Regarding for Firefox for Android, it offers search suggestions as you type to make it easier to find what you are looking for on the Web. When you start typing into the Awesome Bar, Firefox will ask you if you’d like to opt-in to search suggestions. It also adds new phishing and malware features to protect users from malicious websites. It can warn users when they encounter websites that may be used for malware or phishing to protect users from malicious websites.
