African Folktales: your Android Game for reading and sharing a compilation of African folktales.

Backed by Google Developer Groups and Google Student Ambassadors, African Folktales, by Nigeria’s Genii Games, brings to you the magic of African folktales to children of all ages. The
philosophy behind this game aims to be simple: support and conserve African culture with the help of technology. This also means:  revive and preserve traditional stories for their entertainment and moral values.

The African Folktales application consists of a catalog of titles and a reader. The library of titles is hosted on a server. Customers can browse and download stories to their Android devices and read them offline. The MediaPlayer, Bitmap, Content Provider and Support Android APIs were used to create a rich interactive experience for the young target audience.
