AOL launch its own RSS Reader to harness the blank let by Google Reader.

Pending the shutdown of Google Reader very soon, AOL Reader, promises a simple list of headlines, a more visual grid of cards, an infinitely-scrolling page,  star your favorite articles with the goal to view them all in just one click, tag articles from different websites to keep them organized for reading later.

In addition the AOL Reader API allows anyone to develop their own applications for the web, desktop, and mobile. You can browse their documentation .
