Does the new FaceTime on iOS7 will grab much attention ,with VoIP (Voice over IP)?

If until now, FaceTime video calls have not grab much attention since it launched with the iPhone 4 and iOS 4, because of the fact
that it required Wi-Fi; it wasn't supported on all iOS devices; carriers like AT&T failed to support it up until now And it has only being for video calls, henceforth with the release of iOS7, users will be able to make FaceTime audio-only calls.
In this approach Apple is releasing and consolidates its own communicating solutions with the expectations to seduce more users.
