enhancements come from Portugal and Canada, where

According to Huawei, ‘’its successful commercial deployment marks an
industry milestone for continuing UMTS HSPA+ evolution’’.
For those who unfamiliar, User Connection Boost aims to enhance bearer and
radio resource sharing efficiency to greatly enhance number of simultaneously
connected users. The solution utilizes software-deployable algorithms for CPC
(Continuous Packet Connectivity), E-FACH (Enhanced Forward Access Channel) and
E-RACH (Enhanced Random Access Channel).
As of 2013 Q1, Huawei has deployed a total of 273 commercial UMTS networks
in 126 countries. User Connection Boost is a part of Huawei’s SoftMobile suite
of solutions.
