Switch technology: Comtrol announced the release of the RocketLinx™ ACS7106.
Henceforth included in its portfolio of
products, the new RocketLinx™ ACS7106 switch, includes access control integrators and systems
builders of a PoE Plus Ethernet switch for
connecting card readers, electric strikes/locks, keypads and camera equipment.

Connectikpeople has observed
that, the RocketLinx ACS7106 is easily installed in outdoor or indoor
industrial settings and is ideally suited for access control integration with
four 10/100BASE-TX PoE Plus ports for providing power and data to remote PDs
(powered devices) and two 10/100/1000BASE-TX Gigabit uplink ports.
In addition, easy
plug-and-play installation eliminates costs and cabling complexity typical with
rack mounted or individual PoE midspans.
