Xiaomi has unveiled Hongmi (Red Rice) smartphone, and performance in the first half of 2013.

That was a few hours ago in presence of Li Wanqiang, one of Xiaomi's co-founders ,Vice President of Tencent Zheng Zhihao, Market Manager of QZone Zeng Jiaxin, CMCC Vice President Ma
Jingxin, Xiaomi Co-founders Lei Jun, Lin Bin, Li Wanqiang, Zhou Guangpiang, and over 60 media workers.

Lei Jun introduced first Xiaomi's performance in the first half of 2013. Sales of 7.03 million phones, profit of 13.27 billion (including taxes), total users of MIUI reached 20 million by July 2013.

Regarding the Xiaomi Hongmi (Red Rice) smartphone, specs include:  

·        MTK 6589T Quad-core 1,5GHz CPU

·        1GB RAM  + 4GB ROM

·        4.7" IPS retina screen, 312PPI

·        Resolution:1280*720

·        Samsung/OV  camera, 8 MPx back camera, 1.3 MPx front camera, supports 1080p video recording

·        Dual cards dual standby (TD-SCDMA+GSM)

·        GPS/OTG/WIFI Direct/MI Sound/Gyroscope/Electronic Compass/Dual mic/Bluetooth 4.0

And the device runs MIUI V5 (an Android modified version).
