MTN’s Voice revenue now accounts for 63,7% of total revenue: stakes and opportunity.

Pending the maturation and the expansion of the Data services, until now Voice revenue accounts for 63,7% of total revenue ,down from 64,8% in 2012.  In fact the MTN results for the six-month
period to 30 June 2013, reported revenue for the six months increased 9,8% .

In this dynamic, Connectikpeople has observed that, over the first six months of 2013, traffic volumes increased 26,2% YoY and voice revenue grew 7,9%. On a YoY basis, the average price per minute (APPM) declined by 29,5% in US dollar terms.

To consolidate and improve these results, the Group remains focused on improving network quality and customer service as well as providing value-added products and services to MTN Zone and Me2U customers.
