Toshiba announced the launch of “TPD1054F”, a 1-channel low-side switch IPD (intelligent power device).

The rhythm of production and of the announcements at Toshiba Corporation is maintained and follows its cadence.

Today, the company has unveiled the “TPD1054F”, a 1-channel low-side switch IPD (intelligent power device) with diagnostic
functions for use in automotive applications, such as mechanical relays and lamp drivers.

Pending the mass production as from December, 2013, Connectikpeople has observed that, the new IPD is fabricated with BiCD (Integration of Bipolar, CMOS and DMOS (Double–diffused MOS) process, which realizes integration of diagnostic functions while maintaining the equivalent on resistance to its predecessor, “TPD1044F”.

It brings like key features :
1.		Directly controllable by external logic signal
2.		Integrated protection and diagnostic functions
		Protection functions: overcurrent, overtemperature, and overvoltage (active clamp)
		Diagnostic functions: overcurrent, overtemperature, and open load
3.		Low drain-source on resistance: Ron＝0.8Ω(Max), @ Tch = 25°C
4.		Low standby current: IDD＝10µA(Max)
5.		Small package: PS-8
