Voice calls on LTE network: Huawei, alongside Scartel, to implement VoLTE with a SRVCC (Single Radio Voice Call Continuity) solution.
Huawei consolidates progressively its presence in Russia. Following the
months of collaboration and work with Scartel, a Russian telecom operator, this
company is henceforth technologically capable of supporting voice calls on its
LTE network. This means, Huawei provides an end-to-end network solution for Scartel that
covers the radio access network, Circuit
Switch (CS) core network, IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), Evolved Packet Core (EPC), and Huawei’s Ascend P1 smartphone.

Connectikpeople has observed that, SRVCC implements a handover function
that enables LTE voice call continuity in 2G/3G networks without any
perceivable interruptions for the end user. In addition VoLTE improves overall
sound quality and call reliability, and provides high voice connection speeds. Now,
voice calls can be established in only two seconds, much faster than
traditional 2G/3G network setups.
