Gas Turbine: Siemens builds on its SGT6-5000F gas turbine platform with a step change in NOx emissions.
Based on the fiscal 2012, revenue from the Portfolio totaled about €33 billion;
we can’t occult how Siemens generates progressively lot of revenues and builds its international reputation with its Environmental Portfolio.
Henceforth, in order to provide the highest power output and lowest
emissions on fuel oil, Siemens has invested in extensive testing of the SGT6-5000F
combustion system
and reached a new benchmark in the industry. The
current industry standard is 42 ppm for other OEM F-Class gas turbines.
Further, Connectikpeople has observed that, this result has been achieved
in conjunction with Great River Energy at their Elk River Peaking Station in
Minnesota, USA, and has been validated under real world operating conditions.
“The SGT6-5000F is an extremely well-proven
turbine in the US 60 Hz market with more than 270 units already in commercial
operation worldwide and more than nine million cumulative hours of reliable
operation. This new emissions level has strategic importance to our customers
and Siemens will continue to innovate and provide leading technology to enable
their continued success,” said John Wilson, Head of Sales for Gas
Turbine Packages in the Americas Region.
