Simplee Launched in 2011 (Palo Alto-based healthcare expense management app ), raised $10 million in series B financing led by Heritage Group with participation from existing investors Social+Capital and Greylock IL. Henceforth Simplee manages more than $3 billion in patient medical expenses and processes tens of millions in patient payments each year.  With this funding, Simplee will expand its team with the continued goal of reducing the complexity of healthcare payments

Zoom (Santa-Clara based cloud video conferencing startup), has raised $6.5 million in series B funding led by Horizons Ventures with participation from existing investors Patrick Soon-Shiong and former Yahoo! CEO and co-founder Jerry Yang. Zoom, which raised a $6 million series A round in January of this year, aims to disrupt the online video conferencing industry by providing simple yet high-quality multiplatform, multi-person video conferencing. Now the startup has raised a total of $15.5 million to date.

SimilarGroup founded in 2009 (Tel Aviv-based competitive web intelligence platform), has raised $3.5 million in extended series B funding for the development of SimilarWeb, a research tool to discover web traffic insights for any website.

Connectikpeople may recall that, the round was led by angel investor Lord David Alliance with participation from previous investors Moshe Lichtman and Docor International. SimilarGroup, has raised so far a total of $7 million in funding and will launch its paid service SimilarWeb Pro today
