Connectikpeople may recall that, the IBM zEnterprise family of mainframes, which includes the zEC12, zBC12 and Enterprise Linux Server (ELS) platforms, aims to provide businesses with a high performance, extremely secure, resilient, and efficient platform to exploit analytics and cloud computing. 

Henceforth, the new IBM DB2 11 for z/OS enables enterprises, to take advantage of the scale, performance and availability of zEnterprise to integrate the results of Hadoop processing into its enterprise datastore.
