Overall, these fundings
will be use to build out new services and in seed funding.
Embarke ( launched four months ago, a San Diego-based email engagement startup), has raised $1.25 million in seed funding in a
round led by Social Leverage with
participation from Promus Ventures, Anthem Ventures, Right Side Capital Management, and various angel investors.
Druva ( founded in 2008, a Sunnyvale-based enterprise data security
company), has raised $25 million in
Series C funding from Sequoia Capital, Nexus Venture Partners, and Tenaya Capital to build out its new cloud services. For those who unfamiliar,
Connectikpeople may recall that, Druva's backup and file sharing platform
safeguards a company's data across mobile devices and desktops. The caompany
has raised over $40 million in funding to date.
SundaySky ( launched in 2011, a New York-based SmartVideo creator), has raised
a Series C round of $20 million led by Comcast Ventures with participation from new investors Liberty Global Ventures and Vintage Investment Partners as well as existing backers Carmel Ventures, Globespan Capital Partners, and Norwest Venture Partners. The company has raised since 2011,
about $40 million in funding.
