this new release, Oracle focuses on hardware and firmware with the
goal to provide the most reliable, highest performance systems for running
Oracle software.

x86 servers, are based on the latest
Intel® Xeon® processors E5-2600 v2 product family. Oracle’s new Sun
Server X4-2 and Sun
Server X4-2L , run Oracle
WebLogic Server 12c and Oracle Database 12c on Oracle Linux, the Sun Server X4-2 delivered 11,259 EjOps(1).
They aim to be ideal for a broad range of mission-critical business
workloads, such as database, middleware and enterprise business workloads in
virtualized environments, as well as high-density, clustered computing in an
enterprise cloud environment.
