Startup fundings: Kumu Networks, 6Wunderkinder and Nomorerack can now envision their future more or less in serenity.
Kumu Networks (founded in 2011, Santa Clara-based wireless system
design company), has raised $15 million in a Series B round led by Third Point Ventures with participation from existing investors New Enterprise Associates and Khosla Ventures.
For those who unfamiliar, Connectikpeople
may recall that, Kumu Networks is creating a full-duplex technology to improve the
capacity of wireless networks, ranging from cellular to Wi-Fi. Kumu Networks
has raised over $20
million in funding to date.
6Wunderkinder (Berlin-based software startup), has raised $30 million in Series B funding
from new investor Sequoia Capital and existing investors EarlyBirdCapital and Atomico. For those who unfamiliar, Connectikpeople may recall that, 6Wunderkinder
designs and develops a cloud-based, cross platform productivity application
called Wunderlist, which currently has around 6 million users. 6Wunderkinder
has now raised about $35 million in total funding, and will use the latest
capital in part to open offices in the U.S.
Nomorerack (launched in 2010, New York-based online retail site), has
raised $40 million in Series B funding led by Oak Investment Partners and HTV Industries. Nomorerack offers deep discounts in a variety of categories including
jewelry, apparel, electronics, home and lifestyle. Nomorerack has raised $52
million in total funding, and will put the new capital towards customer
acquisition and building out its top categories.
