BAE Systems has developed a mobile app that is designed to enhance situational awareness for citizens.

With the increased emergency situations in USA, because of natural disasters, people need relevant technologies which can help them.
In this dynamic, BAE Systems paves its way by launching an add-on feature to the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA). This official mobile app is designed to enhance situational awareness for citizens, first responders, emergency managers, and recovery teams
during an emergency or following a disaster.
Connectikpeople.co, can observe that the app’s new Disaster Reporter feature allows users to upload photos and report important incident information from their smartphones. All data collected is pinpointed on an interactive map.
Finally Connectikpeople recalls that, BAE Systems and Eye Street Solutions worked with FEMA’s Digital Engagement team to launch the first release of FEMA's smartphone app for mobile devices in October 2011. The FEMA App contains disaster safety tips, an interactive emergency kit list, emergency meeting location information, and a map to locate open shelters and FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers.
