Cloud Deployments on Mirantis OpenStack Distribution with VMware Technologies: here is how Mirantis and VMware manage their Partnership.

Connectikpeople.co can observe that, with this agreement, Fuel, the open source tool for OpenStack deployment and management by Mirantis, will add support for automating the deployment of the Mirantis OpenStack distribution in conjunction with VMware vCenter™ Server and VMware NSX™ technologies.
As from now, using Fuel, Mirantis and VMware will enable the automated configuration of:
  • The OpenStack Compute service (Nova) with the VMware vCenter Server driver;
  • The OpenStack Networking service (Neutron) with the VMware NSX driver (formerly the Nicira NVP driver);
  • The OpenStack Block Storage service (Cinder) with the VMware VMDK datastore driver.
  • Compatibility with OpenStack Havana and future releases.
