Application platform as a service (aPaaS) market: the real value of Mendix.
We are always looking for a solid
maturity in this segment of the Cloud computing. Amongst the pragmatic actors,
Connectikpeople.co has captured the Mendix trend. Mendix aims to enable
companies to build, integrate and deploy web and mobile applications faster and
with better results.
As you can imagine, the aPaaS market is currently wide open, meaning that, Mendix
can pave its way.
With a new fuel of $25 million from a Series B of investment, the round led
by Battery
Ventures, with participation from existing investor
Prime Ventures, Mendix can speed-up its global
expansion, product development and sales efforts. It builds upon Mendix’s
fast-growing community of developers, customers and partners who use the Mendix
App Platform to deliver business applications faster than traditional
development methods.
Its portfolio of clients includes: ABN Amro, Sprint, Dun & Bradstreet,
Genzyme, KPN, Liberty Mutual, LV=, Roche and TNT, who rely on Mendix to deliver
business
applications.
Connectikpeople.co recalls that, in 2013, its global SaaS revenues grew 115
percent over 2012, marking the company’s fifth consecutive year of triple-digit
growth. Mendix opened its new European headquarters in Rotterdam, the
Netherlands, along with a new office in the UK. The company launched a major
upgrade to its platform, Mendix 5, with features to further accelerate delivery
of multi-device applications.
A note of 8 out of ten rewards this new approach to deliver custom business apps.
