Startups funding: GetYourGuide, Origami Logic, and Blue Bottle Coffee can now globally scale their businesses.

GetYourGuide (founded in 2009, Berlin-based travel booking startup), has raised $4.5 million in a post-Series A funding led by former Booking.com CEO Kees Koolen with participation from Fritz Demopoulos, Qunar.com, and Sunstone Capital. This startup collects and categorizes activities in travel destinations, providing a platform for travelers to find, book, and pay for holiday attractions. GetYourGuide has raised over $20 million to date in total funding, and will use the new funds to globally scale its business.


Origami Logic (Founded in 2012, Menlo Park, CA-based big data startup has), raised $15 million in a Series B funding led by Jafco Ventures with participation from existing investors Accel and Lightspeed. Connectikpeople.co recalls that, still in stealth mode, Origami Logic has created a way for marketers to analyze, visualize, and glean insights from data that is currently being commercially deployed by a number of customers. Origami Logic has raised nearly $25 million in funding to date and is aiming for a public launch at some point later this year.

Blue Bottle Coffee ( Founded in 2002, Oakland-based specialty coffee roaster), has raised $25.7 million in a second round of funding led by Morgan Stanley Investment Management with participation from former investors Index Ventures, Google Ventures, and True Ventures, along with a number of angels including Kevin Systrom, Evan Williams, and Chris Sacca. Blue Bottle will use the funds to open a handful of cafes in new cities, develop new products, and improve its website and retail operations.
