If unfamiliar,
Connectikpeople.co recalls that, this rubric is intended to help organizations,
and investors to live in real-time what happens in the startups world; in terms
of fundings, acquisitions, strategic alliances and more. Regarding the emerging
countries, and startups, this is an instrument for them to discover which
Venture Capital or Business angel can fund
their projects.
Meet You (Chinese women's social network and menstruation tracking app), has raised
$15 million in new funding from Matrix Partners. Onnectikpeople.co recalls that, Meet
You began as a period tracker but expanded into a social network in 2013,
allowing users to join a number of themed groups including weight loss,
clothing, fitness, relationships, and travel. Meet You has topped the health category charts of China's App Store
since last November 2013, and currently sees more than 2 million daily active
users.
Teespring (Founded in 2011, Rhode
Island-based crowdfunded custom apparel startup), has raised $20 million in
funding from Andreessen Horowitz. This platform allows anyone to design custom apparel, choose a sales
goal, and launch a campaign by outsourcing the production and distribution
costs and sending the organizer a check for the profit. With over 1 million
custom products shipped to over 80 countries, Teespring plans to put the new funding toward growing its 70-person
team and adding new features to the service.
