Cloud Computing trend in Asia Pacific according to Microsoft.
It remains obvious that, a set of organizations, enterprises, public sector across world, due to the lack relevant information, are always reluctant, when it comes to adopt Cloud Computing services: SaaS, IaaS, PaaS and RaaS. The major concerns underscored are privacy, accessibility, confidentiality and security.
But Connectikpeople.co resumes this prudence as something normal, but within these concerns there are lot of myths and skepticism surrounding the technology.
This week, Connectikpeople.co has received the Microsoft survey that showcases some of these myths and skepticism. In fact Microsoft has worked with over 2,000 partners in 11 countries across Asia Pacific: Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, to identify the issues that worry companies most and alleviate their concerns.
According to this survey, the most common concern among the surveyed countries is a lack of privacy. Thailand is the only country that, instead of privacy, was more concerned with productivity, to be able to work while offline.
Microsoft revealed only 46 percent of executives in Asia Pacific understand what
cloud computing is.
If unfamiliar, Connectikpeople.co recalls that, Cloud computing is defined as using a network of remote servers hosted on the internet to store and manage data. Having data stored in the cloud means that, you can share and manage the data from anywhere, including through mobile devices.
