developer), has raised $6.5 million in a Series A funding led by Greylock Partners with participation from Almaz Capital. This startup develops adventure game for iPad that helps children ages
7-11 learn social and emotional skills. If You Can has raised $9.3 million to
date, with previous investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund,
and Maveron.
Kahuna (founded in 2011, Mountain View-based mobile marketing startup), has
raised $11 million in Series A funding from Sequioa Capital. With Kahuna marketers can test and automate their push notifications so
that apps can send fewer yet more effective promotional messages. Kahuna will put the new funds toward
production of new engagement channels and additional forms of marketing
automation.
NuoDB (Founded in 2012, Cambridge-based distributed database management
company), has raised $14.2 million in an extended Series B round led by Dassault Systèmes with participation from previous investors Morganthaler Ventures, Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, and Longworth Venture Partners. As an operational database management system, NuoDB handles transactions,
interactions, and observations to maintain business continuity and gain
operational intelligence in real-time. NuoDB
has raised $26.2 million in funding to date.
