Startups funding: Mojn, Myntra, and Boombotix can now continue global expansion.
If unfamiliar,
Connectikpeople.co recalls that, this rubric is intended to help organizations,
and investors to live in real-time what happens in the startups world; in terms
of funding, acquisitions, strategic alliances and more. Regarding the emerging countries, and startups, this is an
instrument for them to discover which Venture Capital or Business angel can
fund their projects.
Mojn (founded in 2009, Copenhagen-based email personalization software
startup), has raised $4 million in Series A funding from Notion Capital, Northzone, and Zoar Invest. This startup underscores an email retargeting solution for e-commerce
businesses to deliver relevant and personalized marketing content to all
website visitors. Mojn will use the funds to continue global expansion
following the opening of
a new London office.
Myntra (Founded in 2007, Indian
fashion portal), has raised $50 million in funding from PremjiInvest, Sofina, Accel, and Tiger Management, at a valuation of around $200 million. Myntra is one of India's largest
online shopping platforms for both traditional and more western fashion and
lifestyle products and will use the new capital to continue funding growth as a
standalone company. Myntra has raised $115 million to date and has recently
seen acquisition offers from Amazon and Flipkart.
Boombotix (Founded in 2010, San Francisco-based wearable audio technology startup), has raised $4 million in Series A funding from Social+Capital, Baseline, Great Oaks, and a variety of angel investors. Boombotix previously raised a Kickstarter campaign of $130,000 for its Boombot Rex mobile Bluetooth portable speaker, and another $17,000 for its music syncing app that allows people to synchronize playback of music across multiple devices using mobile networks. Boombotix will put the fresh funding toward extending its current customer base beyond the action sports group.
