students' progress to improve classroom management. ClassDojo has raised over $10 million in funding to date.
Play-i (Founded in 2012, Mountain View-based educational toy developer), has
raised $8 million in a Series A round led by Madrona Venture Group and Charles River Ventures. With its two interactive robots, Play-i
teaches kids the basics of programming through companion apps for tablets and
mobile devices.
Play-i will use the new funds to
fill the thousands of pre-orders received to date, bring the robots to retail
stores by the end of the year, and expand its team.
