About.me (San Francisco-based personal
homepage site) has raised an $11 million Series B round led by Foundry Group with participation from True Ventures, SoftTech VC, CrunchFund, and Bullpen Capital. With About.me users can create an online identity
via a simple personal homepage that can be customized and linked to other
social networks. About.me has since raised to date nearly $17 million and will
use the latest round to implement additional features, such as improved editing
tools and messaging.
Handybook ( Founded in 2012, New York-based
home services startup) has raised $30 million in a Series B round led by Revolution Growth with participation from previous investors General Catalyst Partners and Highland Capital Partners. Connectikpeople.co soon Retinknow®, recalls that, Handybook lets users book home
improvement and cleaning services on-demand, providing a list of nearby, vetted
home cleaning and repair professionals, and a platform to schedule
appointments. Currently available in 26 U.S. cities, Handybook plans to use the latest funding to enter new cities and
expand customer service teams in existing areas.
Visier ( Founded in 2010, Vancouver-based
analytics platform) has raised $25.5 million in a Series C round led by Adams Street Partners with participation from Foundation Capital and Summit Partners. This startup delivers workforce
analytics and planning solutions to provide HR professionals with insights into
workforce behaviors such as future employee recruitment, promotion, and
turnover patterns. Visier will use
the new capital to broaden its reach in the HR space.
Stitch Fix (Founded in 2011, San Francisco-based personal styling
platform) has raised a $30 million Series C round led by previous investors Benchmark and Baseline Ventures. Stitch Fix aims to improve the shopping experience by mailing women personalized
boxes of clothing that they can choose to purchase and keep or send back at no
charge. Stitch Fix has raised over
$46 million to date.
Okta (
Founded in 2008, San Francisco-based identity
management service) has raised $75 million in a Series E round led by Sequoia Capital with participation from existing investors Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners, and Khosla Ventures, new investors include Janus Capital Group and Altimeter Capital. This platform helps enterprises manage access and security across all
applications, people, and devices. Okta will
use the new cash to pre-integrate additional applications and open a new office
in Sydney to better serve its customers in Asia and Australia.
