a Series D round led by Tiger Global Management with participation
from Accel
Partners and Google Capital. This startup helps companies
provide customer support via a variety of channels including email, chat, and
social networks, managing and prioritizing customer feedback. Freshdesk has raised over $45 million
to date and will use the latest funds to maintain
a rapid growth rate.
HackerRank ( Launched in 2010 as a platform for hosting coding challenges, Palo Alto-based social and
recruitment platform), has raised $9.2 million in a Series B round led by Khosla Ventures
and Battery
Ventures with participation from Peeyush Ranjan, Greg Badros and Dan
Rubinstein. HackerRank plans
to use the latest round to grow its sales team and expand the product to
include a wider range of skills.
Glympse ( Founded in 2008, Seattle-based
location sharing startup), has raised a $15 million Series C round led by new
investors UMC
Capital and Verizon Ventures with participation from
existing investors Ignition Partners, Menlo Ventures and Naya Ventures.
With Glympse, we talk about a real-time mapping and tracking service that can
be integrated into messaging apps, cars, wearables and other services to share
location data. Glympse will use the
new cash to expand its team and continue to build out its feature set.
VigLink (Founded in 2009, San Francisco-based content monetization platform)
has raised $18 million in a Series C round led by RRE Ventures with participation
from Correlation
Ventures and Silicon Valley Bank as well as previous investors Google Ventures, Emergence Capital, and First Round
Capital. VigLink helps publishers, bloggers, social networks, and
apps monetize content-driven commerce by automating the affiliate linking
process. VigLink has raised over $25
million to date.
TrackingPoint ( Launched in 2013, Austin-based applied technology company), has raised
$29 million in new funding from Genesis Inventions and McHale Labs with
participation from Austin Ventures and new investor GTP Holdings.
With its precision-guided and semiautomatic firearms, TrackingPoint helps users to track moving targets and make more
accurate long-distance shots. TrackingPoint will put the new funds toward
launching new products for civilians as well as improving products for use by
the U.S. Army.
SiSense ( Founded in 2010, Tel Aviv-based business intelligence startup), has
raised a $30 million Series C round led by DFJ Growth with participation from existing investors Battery Ventures, Genesis
Partners and Opus Capital. SiSense makes big data analytics
accessible to ordinary business users, providing simple dashboards that let
users query, analyze, and share data. SiSense
has raised $44 million to date and will use the new cash to drive business
in the U.S.
