raised $70 million in a Series D round led by New Enterprise Associates and Oak Investment Partners with participation from previous investors Columbia Capital, Telecom Ventures and Goldman Sachs. NextNav specializes in
location services indoors and in dense urban environments and has proven
especially useful for indicating the precise location of medical emergencies. NextNav has raised nearly $100 million
to date and will use the new funds to improve its Metropolitan Beacon System
positioning network.
