Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (CEMA) Quarterly Server Virtualization trend.
Compared to the mature economies with solid base
of infrastructures, where one talk more and more of performance, flexibility,
integrated solutions, seamless architectures, scalable and the end-to-end secure
solutions; in the emerging countries like the Central and
Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (CEMA) region, they always struggle
in real-time to offset or to catch up the delay in terms of infrastructure and
technologies.
But it is exciting to progressively observe that, numerous countries in
Africa and the Western Europe (WE) are well known for leapfrogging to the most
updated technologies and latest trends.
when it comes to virtualization , according to data contained in the Europe,Middle East and Africa Quarterly Server Virtualization Tracker published by global market research company IDC, the rate of virtualization for new server shipments in the Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (CEMA) region increased by five percentage points year on year, to reach 32%.
The emerging markets of CEMA posted 11.5% growth in server units
virtualized. According to Mohamed Hefny, a senior research analyst in the
Systems and Infrastructure Solutions department of IDC CEMA, this reflects
increasing maturity in the use of virtualization to consolidate infrastructure,
using fewer servers to deploy more VMs, and fully exploiting the latest
hardware capabilities.
