identity. Secret has raised over $36 million to date and will use the new cash
to add new features and boost growth and user engagement.
Rocketrip, (Founded in 2013, a travel management startup based in New York), has
raised $3 million in a second Series A round led by Canaan Partners and Genacast Ventures with participation from new investors CrunchFund and Paul Buchheit. Rocketrip provides a travel search and booking platform for enterprise
that rewards employees in gift cards or cash when they save corporate money by
booking cheaper travel plans. Rocketrip has raised $6.2 million to date.
Bark& Co.(Founded in
2011, in San Francisco the company behind subscription-based dog product
delivery service BarkBox), has raised $15 million in Series B funding, with $10
million coming from Resolute.vc, RRE, BoxGroup, Lerer Ventures, and other previous investors, and the remaining in debt financing from City National Bank. BarkBox sends out a monthly box of dog treats and toys to paying
customers. Bark & Co., also offers a vet care service and a content portal
for pet owners, and plans to use the new funding to build out current services
and launch additional products.
Genius, (Founded in 2009, formerly known as Rap Genius), has raised $40 million
in a Series B round led by Dan Gilbert and Andreessen Horowitz. Genius provides lyrics and explanations for thousands of rap songs, and
recently launched embeddable annotations to make sharing easier. Genius has raised over $56 million to
date and plans to use the latest cash to hire engineers, designers, and
community leaders.
