funding led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers with participation from ClearBridge, Cross Creek, Wasatch, PremjiInvest and Comcast Ventures along with previous backers Lightspeed Venture Partners and Scale Venture Partners. DataStax is the commercial
face of the open source Apache Cassandra database, offering enterprise support
services and additional features on top of the free project for a fee. DataStax has raised over $190 million
to date and will use the latest round to continue expanding its teams and
prepare for an IPO in the coming year.
