Everything each professional needs to know about the new iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch.
No astonishing news or extrem excitements,
just a normal and a pragmatic evolution based on the ongoing trend which requires:
smart watchs; phablets; large screens; institutive user interface; selfies; secure
and simple mobile payment platforms.
The iPhone 6 brings: a 4.7-inch
"Retina HD" display; a new chip, the A8 processor, (50 times faster
than the chip in the original iPhone, according to Apple); an upgraded 8 MP
rear-facing camera and 2.1 MP front-facing cameras. The 16 GB model will start at
$199 (with a two-year contract).
The 64GB model will be available for $299 and the 128 GB will be $399. The
iPhone 6 will go on sale in Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Australia, Hong
Kong, Singapore and Japan on Sept. 19, 2014 and it will be available in 115
countries by the end of the year.
The iPhone 6 Plus, Apple's first phablet, brings: a 5.5-inch display; new A8 processor; the
same 8 MP rear and 2.1 front cameras as the iPhone 6 + optical image
stabilization, an improvement over the digital stabilization of the iPhone 6.
The phone will be available in 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB varieties, for $299,
$399 and $499, respectively (with a two-year contract). It will launch in the
U.S., the UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico
and Singapore on Sept. 19, 2014.
When it comes to Apple Watch, Connectikpeople.co, soon #Retinknow recalls that, it must be used in
conjunction with an iPhone and will be compatible with the iPhone 5, 5C and 5S
in addition to the 6 and 6 Plus.
It is exciting to discover that, it brings: a sapphire glass Retina display;
sensors that can track everything from your heart rate to daily activities and
exercise. The display is a touchscreen, but also comes equipped with a special
"digital crown" that can be used for navigating around apps and also
functions as a home button for the watch's interface.
Developers will be able to create customized apps for the device with
Apple's new WatchKit platform: custom
notifications and home screen apps for the wearable.
Apple Watch will come in two different sizes and three different
collections, the Watch, Watch Sport and Watch Edition, each of which uses a
different finish. Watch comes in a stainless steel finish, Watch Sport is made
of "lightweight anodized aluminum" and Watch Edition is 18k gold. Apple
Watch is expected to go on sale in early 2015 and will begin at $349.
Regarding Apple's
first platform for mobile payments, ApplePay , it will be rolling out with iOS 8 in October 2014 and compatible with iPhones running iOS 8.
Connectikpeople.co, soon #Retinknow observes that, users begin by scanning
their credit cards (MasterCard, Visa or American Express), which is then
captured by Passbook. The app then creates a secure one-time code, stored
locally on your device (your payment information is not shared with merchants)
or on Apple's servers.
Apple Pay can also be used within apps to make one-touch purchases by
selecting "Apple Pay" at checkout and using your TouchID. Apple Pay
will launch first in the U.S.
iOS
8 (Apple's mobile operating system) will be available to download two days before the new iPhones go on sale: Sept. 17,2014.
