WebRTC-based communications systems: trends and stakes.
We are still at the early stage of this emerging technology, but it is exciting and encouraging to observe that
a set of technological companies like
Google, Mozilla Foundation and Opera, deploy respectful efforts, when it comes to democratize
this technology.
This week, at Connectikpeople.co, soon #Retinknow, we have been seduced by
one nascent: Firefox Hello.
With the purpose to enable anyone
with a Firefox browser to make free voice and video calls without having to
download software, plugins or even create an account; Firefox Hello requires
not account and is ready to go as soon
as you open Firefox Beta by clicking on the ‘chat bubble’ icon inside the
customization menu.
Firefox Hello can also allow you to connect with anyone who has a WebRTC-enabled
browser, such as Firefox, Chrome or Opera.
