Risks and Threats to the Online Presence of Government and Private Sector Organizations

Following a set of micmacs around the likelihood hacking campaign targeting prc.cm (Cameroon’s presidency website), Connectikpeople.co recalls that, henceforth beyond the usual threats of spam emails, viruses and malware, there are many online threats facing Government and private sector organizations.

Among the critical threats, we have:  Data leaks, DDoS attacks, SQL injection, Phishing domains that impersonate the legitimate website, fake social media profiles, leaks of confidential or Personally Identifiable Information (PII), website defacement, malware uploaded to websites, and DNS poisoning.
