Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows; Security Update for Chrome and Security Updates for Reader and Acrobat



Connectikpeople.co recalls that, Google has released Chrome version 46.0.2490.71 to address multiple vulnerabilities for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Exploitation of some of these vulnerabilities may allow a remote attacker to take control of an affected system.

Microsoft has also released six updates to address vulnerabilities in Microsoft Windows. Exploitation of some of these vulnerabilities could allow an attacker to take control of an affected system.

At Adobe, they have released security updates to address multiple vulnerabilities in Reader and Acrobat. Exploitation of some of these vulnerabilities may allow a remote attacker to take control of an affected system.

Users and administrators are encouraged to review Adobe Security Bulletin APSB15-24 and apply the necessary updates.

Connectikpeople.co also recalls that, the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) has issued an alert to consumers and merchants about the security risks involved with EMV Cards. An EMV card is a credit or debit card with a microchip that helps protect cardholder data. However, EMV cards may still be vulnerable to exploitation.

Therefore, Connectikpeople.co encourages consumers and merchants to review the IC3 Alert for information on EMV card vulnerabilities and proactive defensive measures.
