Internet and mobile-based services: More than $250M pour in Cybersecurity last week



With investors like Insight Venture Partners (Lead),and  Accel, Tenable a company that  provides cybersecurity software for businesses and governments sets a new record for the largest private funding raised by a cybersecurity company.

$13M for AppDome , an emerging Israeli cybersecurity startup that provides mobile application security-as-a-service.

Overall, when it comes to funding meant for Internet and mobile-based services, more than $569M have been captured last week.  

$60M / Series C for
Careem , a private car booking service based in the Middle East that allows users to order a ride online or through its mobile app. The company will use the new funding to expand into new markets.
Investors include: Abraaj Group (Lead), STC Ventures, Lumia Capital.

$32M / Series D for
Schoology , a cloud-based learning management system that allows teachers and students to collaborate. With $57M in total funding to date.
Investors include: JMI Equity (Lead), Intel Capital, FirstMark Capital, Great Road Holdings.

$250M / Series B for
Tenable that  provides cybersecurity software for businesses and governments.  Ta company sets a new record for the largest private funding raised by a cybersecurity company.
Investors include: Insight Venture Partners (Lead), Accel.

$35M / Series E for
Perfecto Mobile that helps companies test their mobile apps as well as monitor and analyze the results. the new capital will be used to fuel the company's international expansion and expand product offerings.
Investors include: Globespan Capital Partners, FTV Capital, Technology Crossover Ventures, Vertex Ventures and more.

$30M / Series C for
ClassPass , a fitness membership program that offers access to classes across various gyms and studios. The company has raised $84M to date and offers services in 35 cities.
Investors include: Google Ventures.

$13M / Series A for
AppDome , an Israeli cybersecurity startup that provides mobile application security-as-a-service. AppDome has raised $23.4M to date.
Investors include: Menlo Ventures (Lead), Draper Nexus Ventures, Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP).

$14M / Series B for
Eyefluence makes an eye tracking system for virtual reality and augmented reality headsets. The company has raised $21.6M in total funding to date.
Investors include: Dolby Family Ventures (Lead), NHN Investment (Lead), Motorola Solutions Venture Capital (Lead), Jazz Venture Partners (Lead).

$30M / Series A for
NextVR, a virtual reality platform that broadcasts live events.
Investors include: Formation 8 (Lead), Peter Guber, RSE Ventures, The Madison Square Garden Company and more.

$105M / Series D for
Udacity that offers online classes for people to learn technical skills. The company currently provides services almost in 168 countries, and  has raised nearly  $160M in total funding to date.
Investors include: Bertelsmann (Lead), Drive Capital, Emerson Collective, Google Ventures and more.
