Machine learning as a method of choice for developing software for multiple disciplines

Steadily one can observe that, Machine learning is the method of choice for developing software for disciplines like natural language processing, speech recognition, computer vision, and robot control. 

The emergence of the Machine-Learning-as-a-Service (MLaaS) model is cutting down the complexity and time required to implement machine learning. In effect, adoption level increases, especially in the small-to-medium business sector.

According to Eugenio Pasqua, Research Analyst at ABI Research, while in the past, businesses used Machine learning to tackle application-specific problems, today, it is thought to be a building block of a larger system, with many companies developing more ‘general purpose’ tools that can be leveraged across an array of different industries and use cases.
