It is steadily interesting to see that, mobile network operators (MNOs) across the world such as China Mobile, Verizon, and Vodafone, among others, are investing in network densification.

In effect, as networks grow beyond coverage to addressing capacity through densification, mobile network operators (MNOs) find that deploying small cells is one of the most effective ways to boost network capacity in high traffic urban and suburban areas.

According to ABI Research, the ramp of small cells is a great momentum. One can also recall that, American Tower, Crown Castle, Ericsson, and Nokia report in 2016 earnings calls that Small Cells-related revenue is now growing strongly quarter-on-quarter.
