Building Automation System (BAS) uses analog and digital inputs and outputs. Analog inputs are used to read variable measurement whereas a digital input is used to determine if a device is turned on or off. Analog outputs are used to control automated system devices speed whereas digital outputs are used to open and close relays and switches.
